Cargonaut’s Port Community System (PCS) facilitates the exchange of both IATA and non-IATA messages between all parties involved in the cargo process. This message exchange also forms the basis for other services offered by Cargonaut.

Within the export process, PCS distributes Air Waybill (AWB) and House Waybill (HWB) messages, which serve as the basis for customs-related messages for both import and export processes.

Import-related messages, such as the Manifest, FWB and FHL, are processed for services such as Automatic Nomination, Secure Import and Schiphol’s own information service. In addition, the platform supports existing and future processes such as Ready for Carriage, Road Feeder Service (RFS) and Digital Planning.

Sending and/or receiving messages using the PCS platform requires an s-FTP connection. The message exchange can be set up directly with the PCS platform or through an external party or software vendor.
