Why has a particular shipment not been allocated to me?

There are two possible causes:

  1. No station declaration sufficiently matches the Consignee data on the Air Waybill.
  2. The Consignee data on the Air Waybill is of insufficient quality to provide the basis for a match.

A consignment has been incorrectly allocated, why is that?

There are two possible causes:

  1. The Consignee details on the Air Waybill have not been entered correctly.
  2. There is no station declaration for this Consignee.

 

In the first case, you can approach the party at the location of origin to ensure that in future they submit the Air Waybill using the correct Consignee data. In the second case, you can enter your own station declaration into the system. In other cases, it is best to contact Cargonaut’s helpdesk with a concrete example.

I only have shipments to myself. Do I still need Automatic Nomination?

Yes, a subscription to Automatic Nomination (noted as eStationOrder on the contract) allows you to enter station declarations. Shipments to yourself are also part of the nomination process. In order to receive such shipments, you require a station declaration issued to yourself.

What is an XFAI message?

An XFAI message is an add-on in Automatic Nomination. This message tells you which shipment has been allocated to you. This can be useful when:

1) Using Cargonaut’s Track & Trace API to determine where the shipment is.

2) Determining whether a shipment has been incorrectly allocated to you.

The system will not let me add a station declaration. Why?

The system can only accept a station declaration when the validation email address is known. The helpdesk can add a validation email address.

The system will not let me change an existing station declaration. Why?

Making changes to existing stations declarations compromises security because there is no way to check the changes. To change an existing declaration, you can delete the old one and add a new one in its place.

Why am I not permitted to use a generic email address for validation?

Secure Import requires a personal email address. This makes it clear who is responsible for validation.

Why is the field ‘Consignee’s email address’ no longer available?

‘Consignee’s email address’ was a free text input field. It was removed because there was no way to check the authenticity of the address entered.

In the event of multiple names and/or addresses, it is practical to add multiple station declarations. Make sure the station declaration matches the Consignee data on the FWB.

What should I do if the Consignee is no longer my customer?

In that case, you should remove the relevant station declaration(s) from eStationOrder. Log in to the portal, and delete the declaration(s) yourself.

Why is the system not processing my station declaration?

The most likely reason is that one or more fields have not been completed correctly. Please check that your input matches the required format.

Do I always have to enter a Handler in a new station declaration?

You should only enter a Handler if the station declaration is only valid for them. If you leave the field blank, the station declaration will automatically apply to any Handler.

Does Nomination also work in Rotterdam, Eindhoven and Maastricht?

Automatic Nomination only works for AWBs with Destination AMS.

Is Automatic Nomination the same as Secure Import?

Secure Import has its own portal and login method. Shipments allocated to you can be found in the Secure Import portal.

What should I do if a shipment is not allocated correctly?

The ground handler should be able to account for what has gone wrong. Generally speaking, there are two main reasons:

  1. Automatic nomination was not possible due to a poorly formatted FWB.
    As a result, the ground handler had to complete the nomination manually.
  2. The data on the station declaration is not a close enough match with the Consignee data on the FWB.
    Make sure that the FWB is properly formatted, or add another station declaration.

What happens if I go on holiday, and no one can access my email validations?

The helpdesk can temporarily change the email address validation if necessary.
