The Track & Trace API provides freight forwarders with real-time visibility at shipment level (Air Waybill number). The service provides information on both inbound and outbound shipments and supports the efficient management of logistics processes.
The Track & Trace API combines data from Schiphol’s flight information system with airline manifest information to calculate an accurate Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) for shipments.
When new flight information becomes available, the ETA and the Actual Time of Arrival (ATA) are automatically updated. In addition, Freight Status Update (FSU) messages are used to determine the shipment’s location (also known as its whereabouts).
